Inspection Scores and Show Record

TOP FILLY at her American Hanoverian Inspection at Sullivan Farm on September 13, 2013!  Judges comments were "this is exactly the type of horse we are breeding for.  Great type, very active hind end, beautiful head and neck".

Brilliant Blume "Brilly" is an Elite Mare Candidate with the American Hanoverian Society and a 6th generation SPS/ Elite mare.  At the age of four months she sustained a trauma to her right forelimb resulting in a significant deviation of that limb.  Thankfully she has never been unsound and is doing well under saddle. I think this is a testament to her soundness and quality to still achieve Elite Mare status and have a successful show career despite the deviation.

2021: Competed at Third Level with scores consistently in the high 60’s to low 70’s.

2020: Competed at Second Level with scores in the mid-high 60’s. Qualified for USDF Region 1 Championships at Second Level and Second Level MFS.

Family Lineage

Brilly’s sire, E.H. Buddenbrock, is considered one of the best Trakehner stallions having been named Trakehner stallion of the year in 2010.  He has produced more than 10 licensed sons including Grand Prix dressage stallion E.H. King Arthur, FEI competitor E.H. Connery  (ridden by Hubertus Schmidt), and In Flagranti, as well as being the grand sire (via E.H.Connery) of the sensational stallion Imperio.  In 2011 the Trakehner Show highlights included two full brother stallions by Gribaldi, All Inclusive and All Agility, who boast E.H. Buddenbrock as the dam sire.  Also presented by Ingrid Klimke at that show was the sensational jumping stallion and Bundeschampionat competitor Glenn Grant (E.H. Buddenbrock-Consul).  Buddenbrock himself placed and competed in the Bundeschampionat for eventing before being retired to the breeding shed due to his popularity.  He is one of only two Elite Trakehner stallions standing in North America.  He is a stallion known for producing beautiful, highly rideable and versatile horses.

Brilly’s dam, EM Dorfblume descends from one of Germany's top dam lines.  Her dam line reads like a "who's who" of Hanoverian breeding and is responsible for producing many stallion sons including Bundeschampionat winner Del Piero, Celle stallion Duke Ellington and privately owned Westfalian branded stallion Da Vinci.  She was awarded the amazing Mare Performance Scores in Germany of walk-10, trot-7 and canter-9!  SPS Marschfee, Brilly’s grand-dam, was the 1991 winner of the Louis-Wiegels-Show, Ratje Niebuhr Show and National Mare Show in Germany.  In 1990 Marschfee completed her MPT with a final score of 8.17 and was winner of the suitability class. During an educational trip to Germany, while visiting the famous breeding farm of Axl Wendeler (breeder of Benetton Dream, Schwarzenegger, Royal Classic, Winterprinz), he mentioned that one of his favorite mares of all time was a mare named Marschfee by Matcho AA! I told him I owned her daughter EM Dorfblume and he said I had purchased one the best mare lines Germany could offer.
