Foundation Mare—

Elite/ States Premium Mare
Dorfblume

Breeder: Boesch Bros

It all starts with a great mare. EM Dorfblume (Davignon-Matcho-Garibaldi) was imported from Germany in 2000 after completing her MPT with phenomenal scores of walk-10, trot-7, canter-9 and garnering her 1A prize. She comes from a mareline of five straight generations of SPS titles that have produced licensed stallions and FEI competitors.

EM Dorfblume’s dam, SPS Marschfee, is generally recognized as one of the best mares by stallion Matcho AA. She was the 1991 winner of the Louis-Wiegels-Show, Ratje Niebuhr Show and National Mare Show in Germany.

I have retained two of her daughters for both competition and breeding. Both have achieved their Elite Mare/ Elite Mare Candidate titles with the American Hanoverian Society making them 6th generation SPS/ Elite mares.

You don’t breed a dam, you breed a dam line

Welcome to Blume Farm, a small Warmblood breeding farm in central NC dedicated to breeding dressage horses for the Adult Amateur and Professional rider. Blume Farm is operated by Laurie Weiser, DVM. I have a passion for the sport of dressage and breeding of warmblood sport horses. I have studied in Germany, The Netherlands and US attending multiple breeder’s courses discussing bloodlines, conformation, movement, linear scoring, inspection requirements and breeding goals.

I was also the first recipient of the Dressage Foundation’s Elysium US Breeder’s Award and used the award to attend my first Hannoveraner Verband Breeder’s Course in Verden Germany.

Thus far all horses bred at Blume Farm are excelling as riding horses for AA and professional riders. I obtained my USDF Bronze Medal and numerous NCDCTA Year End Awards on homebred mare EM Roseblume (Rotspon-Davignon-Matcho). Lauraine Rivier and Borealis Blume obtained many NCDCTA year end awards as well as multiple High Score Pony Awards. Emme Johnston and Brilliant Blume are competing at Third Level and consistently scoring in the high 60s-low 70s. Rhodayo Blume, while not competing, is a beloved mount for his owner who trains in dressage and natural horsmanship.
